Cool huh..?

Dallachy Club member John Campbell with his jet powered flying boat, which he flew from Loch Insch in the Scottish highlands during the summer. This is believed to be the first flight of an R/C jet flying boat in the U.K.... if not in the world. If anyone knows better, please let us know
(as no doubt you will...).

The model is based on the Laddie Mikulasko's "North Star" from "USA Balsa". However, John has increased the size by 150% to some 66" span and he's split the fin in two to make way for the exhaust from the TurboJet Technologies TJT 3000 turbine. Up to 30 Lbs of thrust gets the model off the water with, according to witnesses, "some authority"....
