Software Hot Shot:

If you have a computer (which seems extremely likely...) now is the time to throw away your pencil and wallpaper and go with the digital flow. Most graphics software for computer aided design is either clumsy and hard to learn or very expensive or (very often) both. However, since the British company Xara produced Xtreme, all that has changed dramatically.

Xtreme is intuitive to use, very quick and, with its versatile complement of tools, any aeromodeller with a bit of imagination can quickly produce an accurate set of working drawings.

The above image is a bit of fun but, if you would like to see examples of test drawings produced in a few evenings, download the two examples below.

The OV10 Bronco was produced by drawing over a 1/48 scale image "stretched" in Xtreme to the full size of the model. Since Xtreme has a working area of some 2.75m square (ie 9ft square) you can draw some pretty big plans to be printed out by the tiling method. The full size Xtreme drawing of the Bronco is almost 1.5m (5ft) long. The pdf files below and the image above are exported directly from Xtreme.

If you click on the XaraXtreme logo you will be taken to the Xara web site for deeper enlightenment....
Be amazed at the low price being asked for this brilliant software....
